Physical Education & Health

The vision of the Nicolet Physical Education Department is to provide an integrated, sequential and comprehensive curriculum that is evolving, yet remains focused on providing daily physical activity. The goal of this curriculum is to enable students to continue to participate in health-enhancing physical activities and value exercise as a vital component of a healthy lifestyle. To attain this goal, we must remain committed to aligning our program with the new Wisconsin Academic Standards for Physical Education. Innovative use of facilities, awareness of trends and changes in wellness education and use of technology are imperative to the future of this department.

Attainment of a life long commitment to a healthy lifestyle can be enhanced by inclusion of the community in our facility planning and future building projects.

The mission of the department in Health Education is to prepare our students to be health literate and give the foundations to lead healthy and productive lives. Our current program of health education that offers sequential updates each year beyond the state requirements of freshmen health is a unique and innovative curriculum that reinforces the goals of the physical education program.
