The staff and faculty of the Nicolet High School Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities Department holds high standards for caring for every student in our program. We believe every student needs to be individually assessed and placed in the most appropriate least restrictive environment within the Nicolet High School District. We plan and accommodate all students who are enrolled in our district. We place all students according to their needs and the determination of an Individual Education Program (IEP) Team. This team consists of the student, parents or guardians, regular teacher, special education teacher, various support staff and a local education administrator.
A variety of services are available to suit the individual needs of our students. The intent is always to educate our students in the least restrictive environment in the district school. However, various factors are considered in placement decisions. The recommendations of the middle school, parents, outside professionals and IEP team decisions all contribute to making the best possible choices for our students.
