Theatre offers students an excellent opportunity to explore human nature and the world around them. In theatre, students use the skills and knowledge acquired in other classes. They also explore theatre as an art form while gaining an understanding of play production. Through the study of acting, technical theatre and theatre history, they become better entertainment consumers. While working on class projects they learn to create on an artistic level and understand the need for interdependence as they grow in their ability to work with groups. Theatre also exposes students to critical and creative thinking as well as sensitivity which helps them grow both as persons and as artists.
