  • On Saturday, February 18, 2012, the Nicolet Recreation Department held the annual District-wide Free Throw Contest at Nicolet High School. Around 80, 3rd - 8th graders participated. Here is the complete list of winners.
  • On Monday, June 1, 2009 the Nicolet Recreation Advisory Committee recognized five staff members with the "Instructor Service Awards." Marty Goldin, tennis instructor, Steve Bazelon, driver's education instructor, Tim Koppa, tennis instructor, Vic Kornis, committee member and youth softball umpire, and Jim Poehlman, softball umpire were receipients of the award. Committee member Carolyn Landwehr was also presented the "Friend of Recreation" award.

  • On Saturday, March 28, 2009, the Nicolet Recreation Department hosted the 16th Annual Sheepshead Tournament in the Nicolet High School cafeteria. 250 people participated in the tournament.

 

  • During the weekend of September 17–18, 2006, Nicolet High School District hosted its 50th anniversary celebration. The Nicolet Recreation was an integral part of the celebration. The Recreation Department organized several alumni events that included a 5k Run/Walk, Softball Game, Volleyball Match, Tennis Tournament, and a Bike Ride. In an effort to help promote the weekend, the Nicolet Recreation Department designed an 18-page guide called, “The History of the Nicolet Recreation Department.” Click here for the guide.

 

  • On Monday, June 5, 2006 the Nicolet Recreation Advisory Committee recognized seven staff members with the Instructor Service Awards. Lou Calicchio, ballroom dance instructor, Rose Mishlove, yoga instructor, Marion Allen, stained glass instructor, Jim Sperl, building supervisor, Mike Brown, computer instructor Ron Jaggard, basketball instructor, and Chris Jeutter, water colors instuctor were receipients of the award.
