When it comes to the legislative process, nothing is more powerful than the collective voice of concerned constituents. They are the force that drives public policy.

N.A.G. is an advocacy and grassroots organization made up of parents and constituents from the Nicolet High School District whose mission is to advocate, at the state and federal level, for legislative policies supported by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards.

N.A.G. Provides:

  • N.A.G. Alerts – when there is a legislative issue that has an impact on our school district, advocates receive, via e-mail, a “N.A.G. ALERT”. This alert will describe the legislation being considered, how it will impact our district (whether it be positive or negative), and asks that if you agree with our position to please contact your State Representative, State Senator or, if it is happening at the federal level, your Congressman and U.S. Senators and tell them how you would like them to vote on a particular bill.
  • Advocacy Leadership Training – all Advocates receive, electronically, a basic training manual that explains:
    • How N.A.G. Alerts Work
    • The Importance of Voting
    • How You Can Make A Difference
    • Best Practices for Successful Contact and Communication With Your Legislator
    • Writing a Letter To The Editor
    • The Wisconsin and Federal Legislative Process
