The Nicolet Forensics team had a great showing in the Port Washington tournament this past weekend.
Tournament highlights include ⤵️
✨ Landon Caler took 1st Place in Storytelling! Not only did he win, but he was also the only competitor in the entire tournament to reach the finals and receive a 1st place ranking from every judge
✨ Maya Khayat took home the 1st Place trophy in the "Next In" category for Radio
✨ Alex Avery secured a 2nd Place finish in Farrago
✨ Elena Johansen fought her way into the Finals for both of her highly competitive categories

On Wednesday, March 25th, counselors will be hosting a College Information Night for current juniors and their parents in the Nicolet Auditorium from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Counselors will share important information regarding the college application timeline and will also host a panel of select college admissions representatives to answer questions about the college application process. The Nicolet Boys Basketball team has earned a #3 seed in the WIAA playoffs and will open their postseason run with a home game on Friday, March 6th at 7pm vs. #6 West Bend West 🏀
This is a WIAA postseason game and therefore all tickets are $7 and must be purchased on GoFan on a first come first serve basis. No passes are accepted including booster club, conference & senior citizen passes. All spectators including NHS students and NHS staff are required to purchase a ticket to attend these games. No cash will be accepted.

Nicole Brooks working in Dr. Claire C De La Cova's Lab at UWM. Her project title is An Analysis of Acute and Chronic Heat Stress to Caenorhabditis Elegans’ Mobility, Fertility,and Protein Aggregation.
Sophie Vielmetti is conducting research at UWM School of Freshwater Sciences Lab with support from Dr. Emmi Mueller, Dr. Eric Ostovich, Dr. Rebecca Klaper, and Dr. Ryan Newton. Her project title is "The Effects of Lemna minor on the Growth of Ralphidocelis subcapitata for the Management of Harmful Algal Blooms".
Nzuri Njuguna is doing her experiment at Nicolet with support from Dr. Simon Gilroy at UW-Madison. Her project title is, "Effects of several different Nitrogen-fixating Bacteria within the Nitrogen-deficient Martian simulant Regolith to improve the germination and growth of Pisum Sativum (Snap Pea)".
Thank you to Marquette University researcher & Nicolet community member Dr. Edward Blumenthal. He has provided support, advice and resources to students doing projects involving fruit flies.
