Nicolet junior Birk Newman finished in 14th place overall in the WIAA State Boys Cross Country Division 1 Championships in Wisconsin Rapids this past weekend🏃♂️
Birk had a time of 16:02.3, which placed him on the All-State 2nd Team.

Students in the Water Sports course, offered through the Wellness Department, recently learned introductory SCUBA diving skills with Underwater Connections in Menomonee Falls 🥽
The students started with a dry land session covering dive equipment, safety procedures, basic physics, and career and recreational opportunities in diving. They then spent a day in the water, practicing essential skills like equipment preparation, regulator clearing and recovery, and mask flooding solutions. Water Sports is a semester-long, elective Wellness class for sophomores, juniors, and seniors at Nicolet.

The event will feature a silent auction of some of the vendors’ work with proceeds benefiting the Nicolet special education department.

The Nicolet Theater Department presents "The Laramie Project" 🎭
Please join us on Friday, November 7 at 7:00pm; Saturday, November 8 at 7:00pm or Sunday, November 9 at 2:00pm.
THE STORY: In October 1998, a twenty-one-year-old student at the University of Wyoming was kidnapped, severely beaten, and left tied to a fence in the middle of a prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming. His bloody, bruised, and battered body was not discovered until the next day, and he died several days later in an area hospital. His name was Matthew Shepard, and he was the victim of a hate crime. Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project made six trips to Laramie over the course of a year and a half, in the aftermath of the beating and during the trial of the two young men accused of killing Shepard. They conducted more than 200 interviews with the people of the town. Kaufman and Tectonic Theater members have constructed a deeply moving theatrical experience from these interviews and their own experiences in Laramie. THE LARAMIE PROJECT is a breathtaking collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable
