Last week the Spanish 4 and 4H Nicolet students enjoyed a visit from UCC Acosta Middle School students. They all have been part of a journal exchange between the two schools throughout semester two. Nicolet visited their school in April and Nicolet welcomed them to our school last week.
Nicolet students prepared some fun interactive activities for their Acosta penpals before presenting them with their final journal entry. In addition, each Nicolet student wrote and presented a personalized story for their penpal. Both groups of students enjoyed the shared experience and the ability to take their language skills to the next level through collaboration and authentic interpersonal communication.
Thank you for visiting❗

Nicolet students did not have to travel far to appreciate some authentic Spanish art. Spanish 3 students had the unique opportunity to visit the Milwaukee Art Museum to view the latest exhibition - The Brilliance of the Spanish World: El Greco, Velázquez and Zurburán. It combined perfectly with their study of art in Spanish 3 as students were able to appreciate pieces painted by the very same artists that we study in class. Their enthusiasm and appreciation for the art made this visit a perfect addition to our art unit.

Nicolet Union High School's broadcast students invited TMJ4 reporter Steph Brown to see how they operate their newsroom 🎙

Interested in Hosting a Foreign Exchange Student ❓
Nicolet currently has two openings for Foreign Exchange students. Anyone in our school district could be a host family. Host families vary. Like all families, they may be two parent households or a single parent. They may have teenagers, young children, or no children. Any caring family willing to share their life for a school year can be a host family provided they have a bed, a place for the student to study, an extra plate at meal time, and transportation to school. Please see THE STUDENTS from Youth Exchange and Study who are looking for host families next school year if you are interested.

New Nicolet Cheerleading Coaches 📣
Sara Glodoski has been part of the Dance community in the Milwaukee and Chicagoland area for over 45 years. She has trained in a multitude of genres as well and performed professionally. Her extensive background in Dance, Theater, and Coaching will bring a new perspective to the Nicolet Cheer and Dance program.
Sara has coached and choreographed at the high school level for the last 15 years and has experience with what it takes to achieve award winning routines and perform competitively. Combined with her own award-winning choreography, competitive coaching background and her collegiate Cheerleading and Dance experience, she is excited to see how Nicolet's Cheer and Dance team can move to new levels.
While not teaching Math at Nicolet, or not coaching and choreographing, she spends time outdoors and traveling with her family and friends. She loves to go to concerts, golf, walk her dog, and explore other cities and cultures.

Becky Lange is extremely excited to again be coaching Cheer and Dance. Although this is her first time working with Nicolet, Becky has an extensive history in both these genres. She started as a cheerleader in High School and college. Becky began her coaching career at Pius XI High School and coached there for 5 years in the 1990’s. Her Cheer teams won both local and State titles.
Becky danced professionally in the NBA and performed 8 years with the Milwaukee Bucks Energee! Dance Team. During this time, Becky also earned her degree in Nursing from Cardinal Stritch University. In 2001-2004 Becky worked with the MISL.( Major Indoor Soccer League). Becky was Owner/ Director of the Milwaukee Wave H20 Dance team, the first professional dance team in the MISL. During this time she also consulted and partnered with the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Admirals on performances and other aspects of fan experience.
