November's recipients were: Sofiko Namsadze (English), Julianna Franklin (Math), Sophie Jaeckel (Social Studies), Mason Desrude (Wellness), Ava Mathey (Innovation Arts), and Kia Osterwind (World Language). Congratulations to both the Nicolet Gymnastics Team and the Nicolet Boys Basketball Team who took down ranked opponents last evening 💪
The gymnastics team beat conference rival Whitefish Bay by a score of 136.325 to 132.55 🤸♀️
While the boys basketball team beat Homestead 82-56 to move into first place in the North Shore Conference 🏀

Students, need some extra help getting ready for assessment week? The PTSO is sponsoring a study session this Saturday from 10:00 - noon in the Nicolet cafeteria.


The Nicolet-Shorewood Ski Team opened their 2023 season skiing giant slalom at The Rock Snowpark under less than ideal conditions due to the recent warm weather and soft snow. The Varsity Girls put together a strong team effort to move up from 3rd place after the first run to claim 2nd place behind Slinger. Emma Bailey (Shorewood) earned a 3rd place podium finish and was followed by 3 of her teammates finishing in the Top 10 with Anna Glaisner (Nicolet) 6th; Avi Dickman (Nicolet) 9th; and Ella Pringle (Nicolet) 10th. Teammates Megan Dufek (Nicolet) and Louisa Fowler (Shorewood) also finished in the top half of the field showing the depth of this team. The Varsity Boys were paced by Hayden Summ's (Nicolet) 10th place finish. The JV Blue Girls finished 2nd overall and had two Top 5 finishers with Sydney Pringle (Nicolet) 2nd and Megan Dufek (Nicolet) 5th. The next race is slalom at Alpine Valley on January 11th. Members of German Club gathered on Wednesday for their holiday party which included sampling German holiday treats and building and then "selling" their cookie house creations. The winning house was built by Josie Breland, Piper Grimes and Lauren Weber.





Due to the forecasted hazardous travel for this evening, the Nicolet Union High School campus will close at 3:30 PM on Thursday, December 22nd. All bus routes will be running, as scheduled, and all students MUST be picked up by 3:30 PM.
All Nicolet Union High School events and activities (including all athletic practices and games) are canceled and/or postponed for Thursday, December 22nd.

The Best Buddies holiday party during enrichment on Tuesday was the largest BB gathering of the year.The students brought food, caught up on life, and had a chance to hang out before the holidays and final exams.





December 8th members of the German Honor Society spent the morning with Glen Hills German students mentoring them, teaching them German & sharing tips on what it takes to be successful at the high school level. The highlight was a tour of the Milwaukee Pretzel Company,where they learnied what it takes to start their own businesses, tried their hand at making their own pretzels and enjoyed sampling the wares.
